In Bangladesh, thousands of individuals suffer from preventable and treatable vision loss simply because they cannot afford care. We have been bringing sight back with free cataract surgeries for over 3 decades.
Now, through the Nila-Shukthara Foundation, we are taking a bold step forward: building a hospital to serve these communities more sustainably and effectively.
Nila-Shuktara Foundation Hospital
We're not just building a hospital; we're building a new standard of health for our community. The new facility will provide high-quality care to everyone, no matter their financial situation. Your support makes this possible.
Your donation will fund critical services like,
Cataract Surgeries. We're on a mission to eliminate preventable blindness. Our services include free/affordable cataract surgeries, which address 75% of eye-related health issues. In the past three years alone, we have hosted over 4,000 attendees at our Eye Camps and performed more than 600 cataract surgeries, at no cost to the patient.
Diabetes Center. Untreated diabetes can lead to vision loss and other serious health issues. Our Diabetes Center will focus on holistic, preventative care and education. We'll give patients the tools they need to manage their health and protect their sight for the long term.
Community Outreach. Our teams will visit schools, villages, and marketplaces, providing eye screenings and wellness checks to catch problems early and keep the community healthy.
World-class collaboration. By partnering with global medical experts and leading research universities, we're not just providing care—we're helping to advance medicine on a world scale.
Modern Patient Registry. Doctors will have instant access to a patient’s full medical history, allowing for smarter, faster, and more effective care. Data is the essential backbone for every other service we provide.
Affordable Diagnostics. Our diagnostic center will bring quality, affordable care directly to underserved rural areas.
Maternity Center. We believe in providing the right care, not just more care—meaning we focus on what's best for the patient, not on unnecessary procedures.
Rooted in the UN's Vision 2020 “Right to Sight” initiative, our mission is simple, to provide exceptional care to everyone, regardless of financial means.
Together, we are building brighter futures—one patient at a time.
